This was taken on one of my many walks home through alleyways near my place. These alleyways are at the back of many of the shops on Queen Street in Toronto. It was a particularly hot day, and this restaurant had the door open (to keep cool I would imagine). This just seems like one [...]

This is some graffiti I stumbled across on a walk home on Sunday night. The light coming down the middle of the graffiti piece is from the traffic in the cross-street at the end of the alley.

I don’t know what I like about this photo so much, but it’s one of my faves. The light on the right and the stairs on the left seem to frame the graffiti in the centre nicely. Just my two cents on the photo.

I was really happy with the way this turned out, even though it was just a really quick snap as I walked by. It just seems like there’s so much to look at in this photo.

This is actually taken in the town that I grew up in (Callander, Ontario, Canada, in case you’re wondering). This alleyway is the back of the strip mall that houses a few stores in the town. It kind of looks like a ghost town.

This seemed to me to have frozen in a really weird way — kind of out to the side. I think there might be a leak in this drainpipe somewhere.

Just another graffiti piece that I found while wandering around in alleys in Toronto. Personally, I like all the blue in this one.

The way the light was in this picture made the left half of the graffiti piece end up looking like it was glowing. I think it probably would’ve looked even better if the whole piece looked that way, but I didn’t notice the effect until I uploaded the picture from the camera. Oh well.

I really like this piece, and I think the colours look particularly great on the black background. Lots of crazy curves and the whole thing looks like it’s swirling.

While the piece itself is not my favourite (and come on, that face is pretty scary), I do like the use of colour in this piece. Lots of bright blending colours.
