This is where they make the wine, in these big steel vats. This is where it goes before they put it into barrels for aging and storage. Looks more like a 1950s robot factory.

There’s a wall at the Ontario Science Centre that glows with different colours. I took a few shots to get some different colours, but I think this one turned out the best.

This guy was washing the windows of a building near where I work. I had to stop and take a few few photos on the way by, just because the effect was so cool. I wonder what it’s like to be up there all day. I’d probably not want to try it, since I’m pretty scared of heights.

This photo ended up looking really cartoonish — I don’t know if it’s just all the blue or what, but I like how it turned out.

I think it’s definitely time to repaint this deck. Taking this on a really bright day made the boards look even more sun-bleached than they already were.

This is an afternoon shadow on a grey cement wall. Are those lines some cement blocks underneath showing through? Or are they just some weird lines that show up randomly on the wall? I’ll probably never know I guess.

This was taken in the commuter train station in downtown Toronto, which is built of lots of plain cement. Not sure that I like those gold things around the cement (whatever those are supposed to be), but they do make the photo a bit more interesting.

The contrast between the struggling foliage on the ground and the cloudy blue sky above makes for a nice shot I think. Everything below looks rusty and worn, and the sky looks pretty peaceful. Yep, that would be contrast alright.

This was taken when I was in North Bay, looking out along the dock on Lake Nipissing. This was the first day of 2008 that actually felt like summer to me, and it was nice to take a photo of somewhere I know well to remember it by.
